It’s obligatory, isn’t it? Here I am just outside the reception of Rocco Forte’s Verdura Resort. I can’t wait to get stuck in to see all the things they’ve got to offer.
I’m here to plan one of our upcoming Connections events. There’s nothing better than being physically on-site to begin imagining how we’ll lay out our agenda and to decide on things like which restaurant or bar to use for a particular party or activity.
It’s all about making sure that our delegates have a superb time, all the time — and that means thinking about absolutely everything. Sometimes we’ll want to offer delegates a nice leisurely stroll to their next activity, especially if they’ve just been sitting down for an hour — but often, we’ll arrange things for complete convenience and efficiency. That does mean we need to experience things for ourselves.
This visit is my first (I’ve already fallen in love with Verdura!) and the key focus is getting to know the staff and begin discussing what kinds of activities we could look to offer our delegates. I think golf should figure highly with this event given we’re surrounded by some of the area’s finest Kyle Phillips-designed courses!
