When it comes to a destination that offers unforgettable experiences, it doesn’t get better than this. The Maldives has so much to offer with stunning islands, blue seas and amazing scenery, but the Hurawalhi Island Maldives hotel has taken everything to another level. This new hotel, opening in 2016, is located in the Lhaviyani Atoll, which is a 40-minute seaplane ride from Male. This 5-star accommodation has a lot to offer and, with its excellent location, is sure to be a popular destination for those seeking grandeur and decadence. All the rooms are built on stilts over the water and have fantastic views of this amazing exotic island.
The 15 villas have all been created with space and luxury at the heart of them. Each villa has a private outdoor area, with a pool, seating, and stunning views. They have king sized beds, air conditioning and a 48” cable television, if you need to escape from the heat in the middle of the day. With a stocked mini bar, and even your very own wine fridge, you certainly won’t go thirsty as you lounge on your private balcony looking out at the mesmerising scenery. With all this in your private villa, you may feel that you never need to leave, however this hotel has gone the extra mile to give you a unique dining experience that’s certainly worth venturing out to.
Not many 5-star hotels can boast having an underwater restaurant, but the Hurawalhi has taken luxury and fine dining to a different level (literally!). This hotel will have the world’s largest underwater restaurant, which was constructed in New Zealand and transported by cargo ship to the Maldives. The restaurant will sit 5.2 metres under the water, with a spiral staircase leading you under ‘ground’, or in this case, ‘water’, allowing you to truly be dining deep within the ocean!
This 400 ton mega structure will put this dining experience at the top of any to do list when visiting the Maldives, and with stunning accommodation and breathtaking surroundings, there are so many reasons you should consider booking the Hurawalhi for your clients.
We were delighted to welcome the team from the Hurawalhi when they joined us at the Rocco Forte Verdura Resort in Sicily for another of our unique travel trade events earlier this month. If you would like to discover how you can take part in one of our forthcoming events this year, drop me a note at micaela@weareconnections.com and I can tell you more about us.
