Set among acres of clifftop tropical greenery, the wonderful Pine Cliffs, a Luxury Collection Resort was our closing dinner host for Connections Meetings in Portugal.
The team at Pine Cliffs were originally planning on treating us to an al fresco experience – but the heavens opened during our final day in the Algarve. However, they got creative, and what they came up with instead was out of this world…
Our delegates were treated to the “Pine Cliffs Underground Experience” – the Pine Cliffs team transformed the resort’s car park into a subterranean festival, just for us!
The lighting, the sound systems, the bar, the stage, you could feel the party atmosphere from the moment you entered. Vintage cars and bikes were stationed around the tables. Food stations were suspended from tractors, serving everything from fish and chips to nitrogen popcorn! And on the central stage, a fantastic live band played for hours. It was like being at a gig – we were all jumping up and down, celebrating our last night together.
We stopped briefly to watch a troop of professional dancers perform a brilliant routine – another great surprise thrown into the mix – and then the band got going again. It was great to just dance the night away and let our hair down after two days full of hard work, and some delegates even took to the stage themselves (I won’t name any names!)
It really was an outstanding evening, and a testament to the quality and innovation of resorts like Pine Cliffs, a Luxury Collection Resort.
