A break to Berlin is all about location, and whether you are looking for a relaxing city break or a weekday conference, the InterContinental Berlin should certainly appeal to even the most discerning of clients. Standing next to the Tiergarten and within walking distance of the main shopping area – the Kurfürstendamm – the InterContinental Berlin offers a range of classic and executive rooms and suites, a spa and indoor pool, a cocktail bar and restaurant.  For business travellers or event organisers the hotel boasts 45 different spaces ranging from small meeting rooms to the 2,500-guest ballroom, making it perfect for visiting parties of any size.

Classic rooms have the usual facilities such as drinks, toiletries, TV, Wi-Fi (WLAN) and a small seating area.  Superior rooms may have a view of the Tiergarten, plus extra TV channels and iPod docks.  Executive rooms include club privileges, such as exclusive check-in and access to the club lounge where complimentary breakfast and drinks can be taken whilst enjoying views across Berlin from the top of the East Wing. For the more discerning guest the Suites offer separate living and sleeping areas and, since both wings contain suites, a choice of views across the city.

Hugo’s Restaurant is located on the 14th floor and offers Michelin starred cooking, an extensive wine list and impressive views across the city.  Breakfast can be taken in the L.A. Cafe where the hotel’s own artisan honey is served.  Fresh eggs and pancakes are cooked to order and, for something a little different, an Asian buffet.  The Marlene Bar, open from lunchtime to bedtime, has a menu of over 150 cocktails and live music.

The Spa has the usual range of treatments and massages including a sauna, relaxation area, pool and outside terrace.  A number of packages are available including the Short Relaxing Day with massage and facial, Lovely Day which includes beauty treatments or After-Work which includes foot massage.  There is also a fitness centre and personal trainer available.

Business travellers can make use of the 24-hour business centre which can offer office supplies, copying, scanning, fax, courier services and is staffed from early morning until the evening.  For event organisation, it offers a variety of spaces from small meeting rooms to the large pillar-free ballroom.  Even weddings, with up to 600 guests, can also be accommodated by this hotel, making it one of the most versatile options travel buyers could wish for.
