I always say that my greatest business asset is my team. I’m so lucky to have such passionate, dedicated people who really want to drive Connections forward and make the business grow.

We’ve come such a long way in 3.5 years, but we need to keep evolving, to become better and better for our delegates.

So, every six months, the Connections team comes to my house for a day of brainstorming, to develop ideas for the future.

Each of us brings along some feedback from all areas of the business – operations, sales, delegate recruitment, marketing. We reflect on what we’ve achieved over the past six months, and what the next steps for each of us are, before discussing the next direction for Connections overall.

And this time, we were joined by our new addition to the team – Andrew Harvey.

Andrew is our new Delegate Recruitment Manager for Connections Meetings. Having founded his own DMC, Unique World, and worked in Sales for meetings and incentives for brands such Marriott International and Hilton Hotels and Resorts, Andrew has a wealth of experience in the MICE industry.

We’re really looking forward to working with him, especially on Connections Meetings in Puglia, taking place November 18-21, 2018 – his fresh knowledge will be a fantastic input.

We also had former Connections team member Jaroslaw Marciuk join us – a social media wizz, with a specialised knowledge of events.

After an afternoon of sharing ideas and innovating, we made some really exciting decisions about Connections.

And, to make the most of the unusually fabulous weather in London, we topped it all off with a visit to a nearby pub garden, for a well-deserved glass of Pimms!
