Hello! It’s Micaela here, writing from the Connections Luxury offices in Central London. Autumn is most definitely upon us and time is marching on — therefore it is with great pleasure that I announce our third event.

We are heading to Asia. More specifically, we’re going to China’s capital city, Beijing. This time we’re being hosted by the international luxury legend, Kempinski.

Our hotel destination will be the Yanqi Hotel by Kempinski. As I write, the hotel is actually in the process of opening! So I am particularly excited to be hosting our next event at a brand spanking new location.

As you might expect with a Kempinski location, there’s a significant amount of effort going into ensuring the property on the Yanqi Lake will be one of Beijing’s most opulent addresses. The building itself makes a statement — designed to embody the shape of a rising sun, symbolising harmony, unity and infinity. The designers, Shanghai Huadu Architect Design Co., have ensured that side on, the hotel’s profile resembles a scallop (representing Fortune in the Chinese culture). The front-view (“the rising sun”) is symbolic of the fast developing economy of China.

Facilities wise, we won’t be left wanting. There are a whopping 9 different restaurants and bars, offering a fusion of European and Asian traditions. The Yanqi Lake hotel by Kempinski boasts 306 rooms and suites, together with extensive meeting facilities — which we shall be using! I shall definitely be visiting both the Spa and the fitness facilities — indeed I think we’ll be offering some tailored Connections Experiences with those in mind.

In terms of dates, Connections Luxury Asia will be taking place on the 28-31 October 2015. All our attendees arrive on the Wednesday for an informal dinner and drinks event, ready to begin the main event promptly at 8am on Thursday morning, giving us two full days of activities.

If your company is active in Asia, or is planning to be shortly, then we should be talking. Let’s discuss how you can be involved, either as a ‘buyer’ (e.g. a luxury travel designer) or as a ‘supplier’ (e.g. a hotel, airline or similar). Please give me a call or drop me an email soon!

regards, Micaela
