Norway is a beautiful country and somewhere not many people get to, so looking for a luxurious yet relaxed break there can be tricky. Since their inception in 1966, when they pioneered the very first Caribbean cruise, Norwegian Cruise Line has been at the forefront of the industry when it comes to innovation. With a fleet of 13 ships sailing to ports all over the world, they are perhaps most famous for their freestyle cruising concept where there are no set times or seating arrangements for meals, and formal attire is not required.

The Norwegian Sky is amongst the oldest ships in the fleet. Registered in the Bahamas she was built in 1999 and has been in service on the Norwegian Cruise line routes from 1999-2004, and again from 2008 to the present day. With a capacity of 2004 guests, the rooms on board range from standard cabins to suites with large balconies, and the flexibility of the cabin set up means each one can be altered to suit parties of 2-5 guests. With a selection of on board dining facilities offering a total of 11 different dinning choices, a Broadway style theatre, fitness centre, pools, hot tubs, a kid’s centre, teen disco and bars and lounges of all kind there is something for everyone on board.

As the newest ship in the fleet, Norwegian Escape, which cruises to eastern and western Caribbean, brings many new concepts to the idea of freestyle cruising. With a staggering occupancy of 4248, this vessel is the 7th largest cruise ship in the world. The cabins range in size and comfort from the standard cabin, perfect for families and studio cabin which is perfect for the solo traveller to the luxury of the suites and mini suites which feature such indulgent touches as oversized waterfall showers and access to the on board spa. With an on-board Aqua park featuring four multi-storey water slides, and the Mandara Spa with its salt room and first time at sea snow room, Norwegian Cruise lines have thought of everything when it comes to keeping guests happy on-board Norwegian Escape.

With Norwegian Cruise Line’s attention to detail and wide variety of both dining experiences and entertainment options available on-board all their ships, travel buyers will be able to craft a holiday experience that is completely tailored to their guest’s requirements – whatever their ages or group size.

We look forward to welcoming Norweigan Cruise Lines in Brazil later this month, where they will join us for our next Connections Luxury event.  To find out how you too can take part in one of our next generation events for the luxury travel market, please get in touch and I would be delighted to tell you more.
