I’m Micaela Giacobbe-Juarez, director of commercial events for Travel Weekly Group. Our very first event, Connections Luxury, takes place over the last two days in September this year at the glorious Four Seasons in Hampshire. I simply cannot wait. As one of the team responsible for the production of some of the world’s largest travel industry exhibitions for over a decade, I have had more than my fair share of cavernous, concrete exhibition halls.
Connections Luxury is like nothing you’ll ever have attended before.
First, we’ll have no more than 80-people on site at the Four Seasons. We’re bringing 30 of the planet’s most seasoned Luxury buyers (with a combined spend running into the billions of pounds) together with 30 of the top suppliers to the travel industry.
Second, we’re totally changing the standard event model: This is not a standard conference or an exhibition. We’re mixing up dedicated one-to-one business meetings with a series of immersive luxury experiences. Fancy trying your hand at Falconry? How about sampling the latest in culinary excellence? Or checking out the very latest pre-release travel technology? Or how about riding in one of the fastest production cars ever made? We’ve got it covered.
We’ve had a fabulous response from the marketplace with the following companies all announcing their participation: Taj Hotels, Resorts & Palaces, Etihad, Avis Luxury, Nassau, Silversea, Dorchester Collections, Conrad, Waldorf Astoria and Florida Keys. Oh yes! We’re only just getting started. I’d also like to thank industry organisations PATA, ATTA, ANTOR and Traveller Made for their support.
Should your company be participating? We’re hunting for the best and the most innovative brands and suppliers to get involved. I’d love to discuss possibilities with you so please do get in touch with me directly micaela@travelweekly.co.uk
Over the next few weeks myself and my colleagues will be publishing a series of posts here to whet your appetite ahead of our September event. Standby!
See you online,
Micaela.
