Connections’ 2017 Europe Edition will take place at the five-star Powerscourt Hotel, part of Marriott International’s Autograph Collection, from May 21-24.

The second Connections Luxury event of 2017 will now take place in Ireland from May 21st-24th – after Connections Luxury India in March next year.

“Ireland has such a stunning luxury offering – from tailor-made tours of its captivating landscape to world-class golfing,” said Micaela Giacobbe, founder and director of Connections Events.

“Its flight network is also excellent, as is its portfolio of luxury hotels. I’m delighted that we’ve been able to make Connections Luxury Ireland happen.”

The five-star Powerscourt Hotel, part of Marriott International’s Autograph Collection, will host 80 luxury travel buyers and suppliers, and treat them to an evening of contemporary Irish cuisine.

The elegant 194-room property was recently crowned Ireland’s Top Hotel at this year’s World Travel Awards. Set one hour from Dublin on a verdant estate, the striking crescent-shaped property shares it surrounds with two championship golf courses and Ireland’s highest waterfall.

“We are delighted to host such a highly regarded event at Powerscourt Hotel, Resort & Spa,” said Ian Wynne, the property’s general manager. “Connections Luxury Ireland is an excellent opportunity for us to present our award-winning luxury offering to prestigious buyers from around the globe.”

“We’re really pleased that Ireland has been chosen as a destination for the event, and look forward to showing the significant role our hotel can play in a luxurious travel itinerary as we build and grow our reputation as Ireland’s leading hotel at home and all around the world.”

Travel buyers and suppliers will enjoy authentic local activities – including wild forging, archery, croquet and a Guiness experience thanks to our official DMC, Adams & Butler.

They will also enjoy a spectacular dinner sponsored by Fáilte Ireland.
