Bom Dia from the amazing Grand Hyatt Rio de Janeiro, the next stop for the Connections Luxury event series.

I can already feel that the hotel and their staff are perfectly suited to welcoming this dynamic event – did you realise that the Rio property comes no. 2 in internal customer satisfaction throughout the Grand Hyatt portfolio. A credit to Eduardo, Silvio and the General Manager, Christophe Lorvo.

Preparing for a Connections event takes so much more leg work as we have to make sure that those who join us get a true cultural experience that works alongside the networking to create those memorable moments.

What does that involve? Well, will we be heading to a Samba school, hitting the bohemian streets of Santa Teresa  or maybe take advantage of the beach in Barra da Tijuca. Alternatively we may need to see the iconic sights of Corcovado or the Sugarloaf – what I do know is that there has been plenty of enthusiastic suggestions and the options are plentiful.

With the Olympic games generating wholesale redevelopment and infrastructure improvements across the city it is a prime time to visit this iconic city and our job is to highlight the diversity and passion that is evident throughout.

The Grand Hyatt, as host, is an integral part of the programme and the Yabu Pushelberg designed property reflects the casual opulence that the hotel is striving to achieve – truly a valuable addition to the Rio hotel portfolio and the growing importance of the area in the cities development. We can’t wait to return (book me a signature atiaia treatment please!) and welcome our guests and friends to our inaugural Connections in The Americas.

If you’d like to know more or discuss your individual opportunities, feel free to drop me an email at peter@weareconnections.com. Feel free to join us and feel the passion!
