The last time I wrote about the Autograph Collection, I wrote about how much I liked the look of their Kessler Canyon resort in Colorado. I’ve just spent ages working through their collection again and goodness me there is so much to choose from.
I am so pleased to be welcoming the team from the Autograph Collection back to our second Connections Luxury event. I can’t wait to see them again!
You’ll no doubt have come across them before — and I’m sure you’ll have heard of (or probably stayed) at many of their landmark properties. The Collection’s properties all boast authentic hallmarks and are typically steeped in the culture and traditions of the city or region they are based in. Think independent, individual, along with luxury service and material comfort.
Initially bringing together the boutique style of a number of independent US hotelier Richard Kessler’s establishments with the Marriott brand, the Autograph Collection now offers a global pick of nearly 80 hotels that are – in their own words – “exactly like nothing else”.
I’ve picked out a few of their destinations that caught my eye. Honestly there is so much to choose from!
For a distinctly urban experience, the Algonquin Hotel Times Square New York offers style and an unsurpassed literary history. An intimate hotel constructed in 1902 with a red brick and limestone façade, this establishment was conceived as the centre of New York theatrical and cultural life and still plays host to a diverse mix of New York’s cultural and artistic elite.
On the West coast, the delights of city living are epitomised in the comfort and style of the guest rooms at San Francisco’s Hotel Adagio, Union Square – contemporary design inside Spanish colonial revival architecture. Hotel Adagio offers new levels of warmth, service and sophistication – as well as the hottest craft cocktail bar in the Bay. I know our tech contributor Ewan is a big, big fan of the Adagio Bar!
For European glamour, the Boscolo, Prague offers neoclassical elegance at the heart of this unique and magical city. Steeped in the history of its location, the hotel offers luxury and the atmosphere of a boutique hotel complete with spa, mosaic pool and fine dining restaurant, yet only a short stroll from the famous landmarks of Prague.
Each of the hotels in the Autograph Collection has been selected simply because is it exactly like nothing else – each is strikingly independent, an echo of the local culture in which you’ll find it, yet offering an individual and luxurious experience, rich character and uncommon details.
I can’t wait to see them in Portugal.
Now then, if you’d like to know more about the upcoming event, please drop me a note and let’s talk!
