If you are looking for a destination hotel that offers exquisite architecture combined with the ultimate in relaxation and luxury need look no further than the Insolito Boutique Hotel and Spa. The Insolito is a member of the Design Hotels chain, located in the Brazilian resort of Armação de Buzios, east of Rio de Janeiro. With interiors designed by Emmanuelle Meeus de Clermont Tonnerre and landscaping by the Brazilian Artists Anouck Barcat and Maneco Quinderó, Insolito aims to be a fusion of art, décor and culture.
The hotel comprises 23 individually named rooms and suites, each with a different concept, laid out in a village style. The luxuriously appointed Honeymoon suite, complete with private sea view Jacuzzi, is a tribute to the opera “O Guarani”. Other rooms have themes such as the history of Brazil or modernist art in Brazil. The hotel is able to arrange private transfers, including helicopter transfer from Rio de Janeiro and private flights from any capital in the Southeast region.
Insolito boasts a range of activities and events including a Luau beach party, outdoor cine, and special dining events. The restaurant, A Galeria, is run by the Brazilian chef Carlos Cordeiro and fuses classic French cooking with Brazilian delicacies, using locally sourced produce and freshly caught fish. The Beach Lounge, run by mixologist Gilliard Machado, offers a more relaxed environment whilst the poolside bar offers a well-stocked wine cellar, experienced mixologists and a creative snack menu.
The spa combines Western and Eastern spa treatments with sea views and aims to create a perfect union of mind, body and spirit.
As you would expect in a region of this nature there is a variety of experiences for guests to undertake. The hotel has bikes for guests to use and can provide a picnic lunch and is only 300m from the natural beauty of Ponta da Laguna. The hotel can also arrange for helicopter tours of the peninsula in their private helicopter and boat tours along the coast. Other water sports and diving are also available nearby.
Other experiences that the hotel can arrange include romantic, private dinners either on your balcony or in the Blue Pool, cookery courses with the chef, yoga classes, samba lessons, art workshops and city tours.
Travel buyers will have no issue crafting breaks their clients will love when booking the Insolito.
