At Connections, we pride ourselves on providing a platform for honest, open discussions between decision makers in the travel industry.
One of the ways we do this is through our ConnecTalks – lively, interactive and frank discussions, where we draw upon the experience of our delegates, sponsors and partners to spark conversations that drive our industry forwards.

We’re really happy to announce that we’ll be bringing the ConnecTalks to locations outside of our events this year – to Malaga and Rome!
This week, on Wednesday 23rd May, our ConnecTalk session in Malaga – sponsored by Malaga Convention Bureau, Costa de Sol Convention Bureau and Turismo Andalucia, will explore two key areas of meetings and events. Hotels and destination managament companies from Andalucia will be in attendance and the keynote speaker will be Francisco Quereda, the head of Malaga CVB.
Among the panelists will be Marc Mekki, founder of Ode to Joy and Platinum Private Journeys, who will take the jargon out of GDPR, and what the new European data law means for meetings and events buyers and suppliers.
In addition, Micaela Giacobbe, founder and director of Connecitions, will share one of her areas of expertise – injecting authenticity into events.
Meanwhile, David Benitez, Head of Business Development for Connections Meetings, will facilitate the panel, bringing his passion for meeting design to the table.
Later in the year, in September 2018, we’ll host another ConnecTalk in Rome – sponsored by Turespaña. The head of Turespaña, Jorge Rubio will be the keynote speaker and together with our partners, we will share some of our learnings on hosting events in Italy (following our events in Tuscany last year and Siena in February). We’ll share more details about the panelists over the coming weeks.
If either of the above ConnecTalks appeals to you – whether you’d be interested in attending, or even joining the panel – please do not hesitate to get in touch!
