I am writing this blog after returning back from Connections Sicily at the beautiful Rocco Forte Verdura Resort. I am frequently interrupted by messages on social media with images, videos, quotes and comments from people that I did not know just three day ago. Delegates from across the globe came together and forged memories together that will last a lifetime.

Does this make business sense? Absolutely – we are working rare heights of travel, where the standard on not acceptable and going the extra mile is a fundamental requirement. You need to have friends in the right places to make this happen because it’s all too easy just to say no (a topic discussed during our debating session).

It does not happen on its own and we have to pass on our thanks to the fabulous (and patient) team at the Verdura Resort, led by Antonio Ciaffaglione, to create the environment that facilitated a genuine and warm networking environment. A true credit to the Rocco Forte brand.
